Share YouTube Activity on Facebook, Twitter in 2010

Social networks are getting even more connected!  Case and point?  Social media sites are allowing users to cross-publish activity from one social media profile…into another.

Now you can announce YouTube uploads through Facebook, Twitter and Google Reader automatically. Ready to post a new video to YouTube?  Follow these simple steps so your entire social network can view your new video:

1. Log in to your YouTube account.

2. At the top-right corner of your screen, click the “Account” button in the drop-down.

Connecting an account to receive YouTube content is really easy.  Just click the “Connect Accounts” link beside each desired account, and supply appropriate user name (email address) and password when prompted.  Then click “Connect“.

FACEBOOK EXAMPLE: Let’s say you want to share YouTube activity through your Facebook personal page (sharing through your business Fanpage is not currently possible).  Below are step-by-step instructions:

That’s it!  Now all of your future YouTube video posts (and any other selected activity) will be automatically shared on your Facebook Wall and friends’ news feeds.

The process to share YouTube activity via Twitter & Google Reader are very similar- just be sure to always “Allow.”
