According to a recent report, Google has begun offering local advertisers a new fee-based profile enhancement opportunity. The Google My Business (GMB) dashboard now has a new option for Local Service Ad (LSA) users to pay $50 per month for a profile upgrade, which includes a “Google Guaranteed” badge.

Benefits reportedly available with the upgrade include an LSA call tracking number to help advertisers to better identify leads and prospects. While this new option appears to be part of Google’s growing trend toward building monetized services, the benefits of the upgrade could be very valuable for advertisers looking to develop prospect lists.

Reaching potential customers starts with local optimization and showing the search engines where you are and where you serve. Upright Communications has assisted many local business owners with leveraging the benefits of Google marketing tools like Google My Business (GMB) and Local Services Ads (LSA):

Google My Business – allows you to create and verify your local business on Google, so your business information can be shown in Google Maps. With Google My Business, you can also add business information that can appear on Google.com, Google Maps, and Google Earth when someone searches for your business name or category.

Local Services Ads – lets you advertise your business on Google and receive leads directly from potential customers. These leads come in as phone calls and messages sent through your Local Services Ads. You can reply to messages, track bookings, and manage all your leads anytime online and through the app.

Our local business marketing expert, Colleen Frye, understands the best ways to leverage local Google opportunities, from holiday promotions to how to turn “trolling” into an advantage for your business. She and our team work hard to stay up on new digital marketing developments like the LSA GMB upgrade.
