Upright Communications is Hiring an Intern

Upright Communications is seeking to add a paid intern to their team. The position is for 20 hours/week at $12/hour and has flexibility based on your school schedule. You will gain valuable experience to prepare you for a Copywriter or Junior Account Manager position in the digital marketing agency industry.

At the end of the internship you will be able to confidently complete the following:

Content creation
- This includes writing blog posts, website content, ebooks, landing pages, email newsletters, and more using WordPress, Drupal and other website platforms
Search Optimization
- Understand how to choose keywords for optimal search optimization success, create copy around keyword strategies, manage pay-per-click campaigns
Reputation management
- Monitor reviews and respond to positive and negative reviews following industry protocol
Manage social media accounts for various clients
- Management includes creating social media schedule, creating ad copy for postings, schedule postings in an automation platform, monitor accounts, and evaluate and present social media results to the team
Organize local listing efforts for local businesses
- Tasks include claiming listings on a handful of different platforms including Google, Yelp, Yahoo, Bing, etc. Manage listings in industry software such as MozLocal and BrightLocal
Understand search engine optimization innerworkings
- Which includes keyword strategy research, updating meta descriptions, title tags, alt tags, analyzing search reports, purpose amendments for better ranking success and more
Client meetings
- Sit in on client meetings to understand the background of digital marketing meetings
Manage RSS capabilities
- Set-up and manage RSS connections which include MailChimp, social postings, and more
