It’s hard to believe that the 2019 holiday season is already here; Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Hanukkah & Christmas are all right around the corner. In fact, I don’t think I’m remotely ready to be thinking about it. Though in full transparency, I’ve started watching Hallmark Christmas & I’m not mad at it. Between the predictable plots and mistletoe shots in every scene, it makes me happy!
Anyways, I digress. At Upright Communications, we want to help you celebrate the holidays & what better way than doing it through Google My Business. Make sure your GMB listing is working for your business by taking advantage of its various features. Check out a few ways you can optimize your listing to make your business’ holiday season even merrier.
ADD SPECIAL HOURS
As some of you already know, Google My Business allows you to add special hours to show customers when your business will be closed. If you’re a client of Upright’s, simply connect with your account manager & we will get that handled.
Should you not be a client of ours (though we think you should be), head on over to your Google My Business Dashboard, click on Info on the left hand side, scroll down a little bit to the ‘Special Hours’ area. Click the appropriate dates, select the right hours & hit apply. You’re all set.
ADD AN OFFER POST
Offer Posts, via Google My Business Posts are a great way to feature a holiday promotion or two. They are awesome for promoting sales but can also be used to draw attention to free services or holiday giveaways you’ve got up your sleeves. Oh and don’t forget, if you’re doing a canned food drive, or supporting any charities through your business, this is a great way to spread the word.
If you’d like to create an Offer Post, get back to that Dashboard area, click Posts on the left hand side & click ‘Add Offer’. Now, get to creating! Make it fun!
ADD NEW PHOTOS
Are you decorating the office with holiday cheer? Hosting your annual Ugly Sweater party where ‘Jim’ always seems to win because he & his wife have been knitting, glueing, basically slaving over the perfect light up sweater since August!? Collecting more cans in your canned food drive than you imagined (go you!)? Share pictures of these special moments that showcase your team!
Ready to add photos? Yup, head back to the Dashboard, click on Photos on the left hand side, find the blue button with the plus sign and upload away! Client of ours? Email or text us your photos & we’ll do it for you.
PROMOTE SPECIAL EVENTS
Are you participating in any special events over the holiday? Whether you’re offering seasonal workshops, running a food drive or hosting an open house to let people view your space, let everyone know on your Google listing.
