Upright Shares: Angel’s Rest Animal Sanctuary

Angel’s Rest Animal Sanctuary (ARAS) is a non-profit shelter located in Amelia, OH near Cincinnati. ARAS operates as a care facility for pets that are left alone and helpless due to illness, old age or neglect.

The staff lovingly rehabilitates, fosters and seeks adoption for its furry residents. Animals can be adopted on-site. The team also manages a 10,000 square foot thrift store nearby to support these amazing operations.

There are so many ways to support them!

• You can shop the thrift store in Amelia, OH for recycled fashions to support ARAS.
• You can volunteer by spending time with the animals, or fostering their dogs or cats.
• Or, send a donation to this 501(c)(3) — caring for man’s best friends is a big job.

Upright had the honor of being introduced to ARAS founders Perla and Mike Kinne. Our love for animals led us to create a new website for ARAS in 2017. We are very proud to support such important work. Woof woof!

The Pup Who Paints

A bullmastiff named Scout, a pillar of the ARAS mission until his passing in 2013, became the first “Ambassadog” for Angel’s Rest.

Nothing surprises us when Perla and her team collaborate with animals. This is surely an inspiring group of people and pets!

We love this painting from Scout (thank you, Scout!), and look forward to creating in future projects with Angel’s Rest Animal Sanctuary.
